How is name compatibility calculated?
Each letter gets a number by its place in the alphabet (A=1, B=2 … Z=26; accented Latin letters count as their base letter, and Arabic letters use their traditional abjad values). The values of all letters in a name are added and reduced to a single digit (1-9), the same method as the "life path" calculation. That number stands symbolically for one of the elements fire, earth, air or water, and the relationship between the two elements (same, complementary, opposite) shapes the compatibility percentage.
Is this a scientific test?
No. Numerology and element symbolism are a cultural and playful tradition; this is not a real relationship analysis, personality test or prophecy. The result is a fixed number worked out from the letters of two names; it makes no claim about who will be happy with whom.
Does the same pair of names always give the same result?
Yes, the calculation is fully deterministic and contains no randomness. Enter the same two names in either order, or again days later, and you see the same percentage, so it is safe to take a screenshot and share it.
